It's quick and you don't have to rely on others. I would say though, before dropping bags, realize you can lose it. If you cannot live with the item being lost, do not bag drop.

I've drop traded 500k+ worth of gear in the same bag before. aon+manastone+fungi+a bunch of priest gear.

The trick is not drop trading anything you can't easily replace.

I would sooner drop trade than use the greedy man-whores of DaP. The best way to trade high value items is find a level 60 in EC tunnel who looks like they got a bunch of nice sh!t. Chances are the Monk who is wielding ToV weapons and in full Velious armor isn't going to risk getting themselves banned for stealing your 45k Fungi (or anything for that matter). Typically anyone in <Aftermath> is a good choice since thieving EC tunnel would surely result in guild removal/shame.

Using drop transfers and no rent bags are foolish risks. No level 60 in a known guild is going to steal your fbss or fungi tunic.

What did you end up losing? Lots of friendly people here, that may be willing to help if you are referring to lower to mid range items. And it helps you just asked a question instead of begging for replacements.

They won't reimburse failed drop transfers.

Drop transfers are fine if you have a back up plan. A spare laptop and a spare internet connection (phone) and not dropping the items in a stupid location will mitigate most of your risk unless the P99 servers get struck by lightning.

Restart client often.

I didn't post this for a replacement. One part venting, one part warning.

I dropped 4 bags of various lightstones. I had been saving up so I could sell them all and buy some upgrades on my armor. It was my small nest egg. It was just plat that I will get back eventually, but also disheartening to see it disappear because of connection problems.
