Also, in response to rick, blizzard hasn't just overlooked what made MMOs great, they were the ones that started the instant gratification trend with wow. They single handedly destroyed MMOs. Everyone saw how many subs they got (because the game was simplified and held your hand) and other companies followed suit to turn a profit

Well said in your last post. MMOs have to be made so everything is as fun and rewarding as "end game." Getting that first magical weapon and hitting level 10 should feel as incredible as hitting level 50 in your run of the mill wow-clone. When mmos are designed to rush to the end, of course they don't last and sub models fail. |
we should all right letters to the MMO people so they do better
i mean that |

Pantheon seems, so far, to be an attempt to bring back classic EQ gameplay with modern technology / graphics, a new world and new lore.
I don't know of any other similar projects in the last decade. That alone makes the project stand out and I'm willing to bet that a vast majority of P99 players will pay for a Pantheon sub at least at some point. |
If the game ever releases and is still relevant and that's a big If and I'm saying this cause I don't wanna get my hopes up on yet another (eternal development game)
But if the game comes to be, id like to play enchanter if it has any charm / mind control mechanics as it seems it will... If it ends up not having any relevant charm / mind controlling type themed abilities or something just puts me off of the class in the early development of the game my second choice will be Warrior - to be a main tank (never done it in a MMO and kinda interested in trying it) |
^if enc is shit the game will be dogshit from a horses ass. No bard is already a huge red flag -- they don't feel like developing an interesting outsider class again.

The chances of Pantheon surviving more than a year after release are slim to none. And thats assuming it will ever make release in the first place... and even if it does it will not meet the super high expectations for a MMO that WoW has set and will get sh!t on. 3 years later when its patched into something resembling what people hoped it would be on launch, it will be too late and have P99 type population.

You people are so hard to please.

What do you mean "you people"?
