I'm standing at a crosswalk, looking at my phone. The light is red. I don't actually have any messages. I'm just trying to look busy. The light turns and I walk with the crowd. And then I see the figure, the shirt, the inscribed, project1999. I look down. My phone looks back, empty. My shirt, the inscribed, project1999. I look up again. Do they look back? Are they looking down, too, at their empty phones and those imprinted words?
