Item serialization makes it fairly trivial to remove the duped items from the game (it's just a few queries.) There aren't very many unknown duplication methods of EQEMU left either, that don't involve crashing a zone. So if you intend to crash zone servers for this method you aren't really hurting the server administrators (since you're providing them with a core dump) -- you're hurting the players.
