Yes. (BTW My original posts explicitly states I was on my lunch break).

Lot of gut reactions here 'don't restrict my freedoms ermagawd'.

The question is more general. Is this forum a place to have NSFW images outside of NSFW forums.

I already stated that I knew the options. Please read my OP. I stated I could use ad block, or I could disable signatures.

I wanted to get other people's opinions. I am not using venom, is it so hard to say 'i think people should be able to use whatever they want on their avatar'.

But let me pose this question. Say someone makes their signature a gif of a penis entering a vagina. Is this allowed? How far away is this from a girl mashing her tits together?

That's what I don't understand, so I echo that question.
The job would be okay with paying you to browse forums about an MMO, but would take issue with paying you if one of those forums had someone wearing minimal clothes or not wearing clothes but still covering all of the naughty bits?

I always thought one of the big pros of the P99 forums was the lack of heavy moderation.

As time has gone by we've lost forum tagging, our guestbooks (which had my sig collection in! /mad), the report function, and a bunch of stuff I probably didn't notice.

Won't be much longer before you'll see posts in Times New Roman 12pt because Verdana/Arial or something offends someone. Turn off your sigs/avatars in the options somewhere...leave the rest of us to enjoy what remains of a once legendary setup.

PS - bring back forum tags, they were harmless.

Some places are, I used to work for an in home care agency and most of the time was just sitting around. I could play games, browse forums or whatever but im sure they would draw the line at porn.

I don't work in a service industry. I am not your cashier. I am not someone who interfaces with customers at all.

If my boss comes by and sees me on facebook, he doesn't care. I make all my deadlines, provide correct estimates, and deliver high quality solutions. He doesn't care if I surf reddit, facebook, or this random MMO forum while I'm doing other things. Believe it or not, there is a ton of 'small downtime' in my field.

If he came over and saw me looking at porn, that would be an issue.

And again, please stop using attacks on me and my exact situation.

Is it ok to have NSFW avatars/sigs when we have NSFW sections of the forum. That to me implies there's a time and place for NSFW stuff, according to our forum.

In the same vein about someone with the kid - Rhambuk - I know you were being facetious, however I think your situation is just as true. You can choose not to go to Rants, Flames, and NSFW. However, unless you disable signatures, you can't choose to see that content.

If porn/NSFW stuff gets posted outside of NSFW forum, it gets cleaned up. Sigs/Avatars are everywhere.

It's not porn, its a gif of a woman in her bathing suit. That's drawing the line?

Swish 03-04-2014 08:45 PM

August has a good point in a sense. More moderation for Eunomia? I sees it.

You realize there'll be a string of bans on red forum accounts followed by a page of threads about more oppression on red players? This is quite a Pandora's Box you're trying to open... :p

Guys, the needs of August clearly out-weigh the needs of the many. Mods, please meet with him immediately so we can more effectively tailor these forums to his needs.

you don't have to be dense about it. It's a woman, zoomed in on her breasts, in fabric that barely covers her naughty bits, massaging them.

It's sexually suggestive. It would NOT be appropriate in a work setting.
