Who are you to say which type of player the server needs to attract? Variety is the spice of life, if you ask me.
Red is actually a pretty friendly group of people, and I've received more help there than I did leveling on blue. It's that vocal and abrasive minority, and the community's acceptance of them, that suck pretty hard.
Please understand that you don't speak for everyone. It seems the majority of current players do agree with you, and that makes me a little sad because I miss the old days on live. EQ is EQ, and you can't minimize one aspect of it (leveling, raiding, pvp) without taking away some of its magic. I think the server could use more bluebies, we're very unbalanced as things are.
The leveling ride from 1-55 wasn't about being fun in and of itself, imo; it was about making lots of e-friends and spending time really getting to know each other. That's harder to do here with such a low population, and I don't disagree with a group xp bonus to encourage this interaction, but the game does feel somewhat neutered with the bonus and antisocial soloing behavior (that I'm guilty of too). We put up with the xp rates on live, why are we so against playing the game here?
I'd like to know when exactly pve became a four letter word, because I remember having some great times bullshitting in xp groups and killing dragons.
