Im having the same issues, I have no clue what to do. I'm pretty handy with a computer but this is seriously confusing me.

I had the same issue. I moved everything to a path where there is no space and I removed the quotes from Target. However I kept the quotes on the Start in value. This is Windows 8.

Hi guys, not sure if ya'll are around still or already figured it out. But this problem was occurring for me also and figured out if you're doing a file search for Launch Titanium and trying to start it from there, it wont work. Best of luck.

Ive been trying to run EQ as admin forever because its supposed to fix a video card issue(video card not being used). I finally ran as admin using "patchme /affinity 1" but still not sure if my game is using OB video or my card.

I think a lot of people said they have trouble running EQ on Win 7, 8 and 10 if they have the game installed in the Program Files directory.
Install it to just the drive itself like C:\EQ\Yadda, Yadda, Yadda... |
I just tried to log into an install of EQ on an older PC and got this error. AVG had quarantined dsetup.dll
I was able to successfully launch EQ after adding the directory to the exemption list. |
running into a similar problem, followed the guide installed everything removed files extracted the p99 files and changed the shortcut when i try to use the shortcut it acts like its going to launch the screen turns black like an application started and then nothing, any ideas?

And, 9 years later, still the same......
Starting to remember why I quit EQ when Sony bought it. |
I ran into this error tonight and shout out to 2015, followed typhonset's instructions and finally got it to work:
navigate to your game folder (wherever you installed the game files), right click the eqgame file (eqgame.exe if you have system files visible), left click CREATE SHORTCUT (not send to desktop). Follow the remainder of the instructions Should look something like this C:\EQEMU\eqgame.exe patchme Move the new shortcut to your desktop... & go. |
