handing in quest items to charmed mobs only work if the quest is able to be completed with faction of Indiff or lower. Charmed mobs are indifferent to the non-charmer, Amiably to the charmer however

Killing mobs in Howling Stones kills your Faction in OT also I believe.

Another option is to grind up your Cab faction. an Erud Mage friend can bank there.

Well its either KC or CoM it seems lately at 50+, and especially during the off peak hours you can't be too picky if there's no work going at CoM. Walking into KC usually gets me a group as soon as I get in, the lure was too great ;)
