I started Beta testing about a month before things went live. I mostly worked on quests and mob pops in Everfrost, Qhill,s and Qeynos.

Wish I had known about this server sooner. I was a year late to the party.

Joined Jun 2011. Odd thing is i know for a fact when i first played global chat was still around. Did it last for this long? This makes me wonder if i had to make a new forum account at some point

I started in August of 2010 I think. I resisted the urge to start, knowing I'd get addicted. I was right.

I started March 2010. I too wish that I had heard of the server earlier as I missed out on some of the fun drops which were removed from the game. I played live from release and loved the days when Cazic Thule was a popular zone (Rubicite) or when there was a long line sitting at Drelzna's room in Najena (Jboots). The items were nice but I really enjoyed the experience around getting these items and hanging out with people in these zones.
I too have experienced a lot of content here on P1999 for the first time. Back in the day on live, my life was pretty busy and I never had the ability to commit large blocks of time needed to do some of the more challenging stuff.
I had long lamented over the loss of classic EQ and had high hopes when Sony launched the original progression servers. Of course the progression servers failed on many levels to capture the classic world experiences.
When I created my character on P1999 and entered the world to see a crowded Qeynos, I knew I was home.
