I agree theres alot of names out there that make me think "really?" but as there is no terms of name creation, players should be free to be anything non offensive.

I don't name my characters that way, but seriously, you're complaining about this? Really? My immediate reaction is "get a f***ing life"

why should I not be allowed to use a common name from a Old English dictionary?
I am willing to bet in the 1200's you could have found a few Kings men of lofty position named James or John or Tucker.
I always felt it was retarded I couldn't use something like "Johnathan York" on a Human Warrior and instead had to open up a fantasy book and browse it for a name "suitable" for the damn filter.

honestly i wouldn't mind it if something like that was implemented. but only if it would make the volunteer gm's job easier by not having to correct names as frequently.

the gm's/devs are giving their time to improve on this already awesome achievement (imo) and i'd rather they either get some time to play themselves or if they were to work on the game, fix something in-game that is a benefit to all.

because a name is just a name in the end, players actions define them far more than a name ever will.

on a side note, may whoever petitioned my troll warr Klobberin Dapridybirdy and got my surname removed back in the day (pre luclin) may burn in hell :D

an offensive name, petition it and dont give it another thought. a name that is simply funny... just pull the stick out already :p

There are a few terrible names here and there. But glitch? Seriously? There is a glitch on every server I've ever played on.
