I've told him, "I am a great sorcerer" and nothing happens other than his response regarding more deeds to prove myself.

I think (but not sure) that I am faction capped with them and still receive this message (although I haven't received the, "your faction could not possibly get any better" ever, not sure if that exists on p99).

I have killed over 560 iksar with +BroodofKotiz faction hits since becoming Warmly with them (which would seem like it would hit a faction ceiling).

you sure this quest is supposed to be in game yet?

its unclear reading through comments 1) when this went in 2) when this was completable

guess from just glancing is it didnt go in until mid velious, then wasnt solved till after luclin (which says nothing about when it was completable)

You could always get the quest. It may have been broken, but I kind of doubt it was. The kaesora part wasn't solved for a long long time.

These were probably combined for it, but I think VI changed it to just drop from chief as a whole part when Droga was changed.

I found this thread from the safehouse which mentions a patch implemented on the live servers on 02/24/2003 where they "fixed" something with the Hermit. After this fix went into the game it appears that the quest was solved. If the quest was supposed to be solvable during Velious, I have not found any info yet. Since it was not solvable during that era either due to issues with the quest NPC or was not implemented at that time, then it would be up in the air as to whether it will be implemented on p99. Some random posts I have seen make it sound like this quest should have been solvable in the velious era but was broken. It would be nice to know whether this 8th cap will be implemented on p99, otherwise the p99 wiki should be updated to reflect for certain at what stage the quest line ends so as not to get anyone's hopes up.

Confined the quest is currently bugged. I made sure that my faction was Ally with Brood of Kotiz but the hermit will not give the correct item when told " I am a great Sorcerer." Will this quest ever be fixed? Or will it be left as is due to the game timeline?
