Not to say there aren't several skilled Rangers here who can make good use of their utility.

In any case you should play a class you enjoy (after reviewing the hybrid xp penalty modifiers). Plus less loot competition!

Oh right, no AAs, no AM3...

It is somewhat true mage classes are more popular, in terms of population ?

HAHAHA no.

Druid is most plentiful class on P99 atm. If the graphs presented by the "Norrathian Organization for Experienced Players" (NOExP) is to be believed, Druids make up like 40% of the server.

Haha, good one. But in reality, can they follow mage classes and other DPS classes in raids ?

Wizard is consistently one of the most sought after raid members and least played on the server. They solo quite well, but aren't very highly sought after for groups.

This is true. Even if only for planar ports. They also do decent dps on raid mobs depending on what the mob is.

Mages themselves are actually desired on raids as well, for CoTH, and summoned items such as cancel magic sticks etc etc. Though usually their role can be filled by one or two mages and not many are needed.

Also I think I misunderstood your question at first. I thought you were asking if mages were one of the more plentiful classes on the server, though looking back at it, it looks like you were asking if they were simply more numerous than Rangers. If the later is the case, yes, if I remember correctly they are more numerous than rangers. I'm too lazy to look up the thread with the graphs but I think my memory serves me well on that.

They are not, by any stretch of the imagination, the most numerous class on the server, however.

What section is the thread in? I'm gonna take a glance! :)

Sorry for the vague question, when I said mage classes, i meant the whole shebang, Wizards, Mages, necros. I heard they were very popular but you already* refuted with the druid argument!

In the 50-60 level range your class breakdown in order of most played to least:

1) Druid

2) Shaman
3) Cleric
4) Necromancer

5) Monk
6) Rogue

7) Enchanter

8) Magician
9) Warrior
10) Shadow Knight

11) Bard
12) Wizard
13) Ranger
14) Paladin
