Druid/Necro is pretty baller, except killing a mob that summons can get dicey but if you are creative not many things will stop you.
Yes even indoors those 2 are effective. |
Chanters are awesome by themselves, add in a healer and it gets ridiculous. Healer is meant to keep charmed pet alive just as if he was the MT of a trio as well as keeping enchanter alive during charm breaks.
Only problem is with the new pet exp nerf that combo will not be able to get the same exp as before patch. You can still do it if you just charm in pairs and then break charm and kill pet before you kill the other mob, but its not as efficient mana-wise nor is it as easy as just charming an uber pet and destroying everything in its path. It's unclear if pet exp nerf only applies to soloing or if it is the same in groups. |

Possibly but it's still an expensive alternative to just keeping a pet charmed long term. At higher levels getting 8 mins or so out of a charm isn't unheard of.

Bard/Bard
Just because it would be insanely awesome to see dual kites. One going clockwise and one counter clockwise or in a figure 8. Enc/Cler If you wan't to wtf-pwn shit. Mag/Wiz if you like taking long breaks. Enc/Wiz Just to be weird. |
Paladin/Ranger can be a great deal of fun

Me and my son played a wiz/Necro it was fun.....easy killing to since its alot of dmg even inside dungeons
but ench/wiz isnt bad. when kunark was released we played nec/nec = OP this was long time ago on live server - Xegony |
The reason necro/sham/sk/druid are always recommended for duos is because they offer maximum versatility, basically covering all parts of a group (tank/dps/CC/heals) in the minimum number of classes for as many situations as possible. You can duo any class combination you want, but as you branch out from these classes, you will not be able to cover all of the group bases as well as with the aforementioned classes.
You are basically asking a paradoxical question: What classes can I duo well with utilizing unorthodox tactics to cover all of the group functions? Any can work, but the ones that cover it best you've already excluded. |
