I remember when we were stoked to have 80 able to play, and 100 people being too much for the server!

God this whole project gives me a gigantic e-boner.

I remember logging onto a ghetto-ass server long down the list on EQ-EMU that had about 1 to 3 people topping out around 8 people last summer ... and the majority of the players were the devs Nilbog and Aeol always fixing random junk.

god what a long road it's been.

Ya that's the only non-beta SS because olympia reminded me about that guy, so i figured i'd post the first crushbone train i saw that killed him :)

Its spring Break too remember...

I have a few questions i been wondering about on this subject though.
What will it take from the community to stabilize the servers? more $$? for bigger hardware?

Just how massive can this version of the MMO go before "live" tightens the leash?

on a side note; I do recall classic EQ in 1999 crashing a lot as well and being laggy laggy. is all thsi normal then?

Awesome thread. :D

The screenshots are sick. I will never forget that maestro raid just because our raid composure was awful...

1 Warrior, 2 Ench, 2 Cleric and a Bard .. and then we had people shooting arrows ><
