Just confirmed this with my pegasus cloak. What the hell lol, that is wild.

There's NPCs with AE shadow step which make it hard to run a CH chain. Like Quavonis in plane of fire. If you use the mechanics of shadowstep and interrupt to your advantage then you can easily avoid it completely.

Shadowstep cannot step you up in z axis loc. So it you max shrink into the right crevice it will shadowstep you into the same location you were already in, keeping you in range of CH and also preventing CH from interrupting.

Most people know this basic mechanic, they just never considered how far you can take it. I was the same, I saw a different wizard streaming on twitch doing this same camp and it was definitely a surprise even though I understood the rule.
