while sitting in your cherrywood mansion, with a kerosene heater, and all breakers shut off, except for the room with your crypto mining rigs, which has open windows and exhaust fans because of all the heat generated?

i legit almost died to the same kerosene heater a few weeks ago during winter storm elliott

it got so cold that the pipes in our upstairs bathroom froze. i put the kerosene heater in there without a care in the world. problem is this bathroom is super small. went in to take a shit at like 3AM after a long night of playing EQ (I think the exp boost was going on so I was heavily into the game).

I sat down and thought wow, it's nice and warm in here, not a care in the world. A few minutes later as I'm sitting there, I start coughing and cant breathe and become so violently ill that Im like desperately trying to lean over the bath tub to projectile vomit (with my pants around my ankles). After several minutes of that I start to lose consciousness, and barely made it out of their alive. I spent several hours throwing up in the front yard and felt like I was dying. Couldn't eat for days because my stomach was so fucked up that I couldn't keep anything down.

100% think it's the side effect of running a kerosene heater from the 1940s in a room that is super small. never again.

I haven't played today.

I was able to care for the kitties. And make blueberry lemon rolls. :)

Doing well.

I’d also like to invest in your graphic novel kickstarter plz.

Carbon monoxide poisoning, maybe. If you’re burning fuel you need to make sure you got oxygen coming in to the room or you’ll turn it all in to CO.

The nasty thing about CO is it binds better than oxygen to haemoglobin (the thing in your blood that carries oxygen to where it is needed) so once your blood is full of it even moving in to fresh air won’t be much help.

You’re lucky to be alive.

CO poisoning can also really mess up your perceptions, behaviour and memory too.

Please be careful.

Yep. Never in a closed room. Or tent. Always ventilation. Preferably two vents. One high and one low. I think CO and CO2 are heavier than air. So if you only have one vent on the bottom it can clog with CO and then fresh air can't push its way in.

Remember that the idea isn't to be comfortable. It's to not freeze to death. And you won't see it coming with suffocation.

We playing on Red?

Yeah, I invited myself

Rager and Quitter 01-17-2023 01:01 PM

I started playing my druid Efurion on red again, and boy those Flowers of Happiness people sure are mean. And they don't talk to you ever, unless they sell you something, then they're nice. Red 99 makes you so paranoid in the game too, constantly checking /who. Log out to afk, gotta keep a metric fuckton of buffs up and in the right order and shit. But I'm garbage PvP since I've never really done it and never had a guild to pal around with to learn the tricks. It's a 50/50 shot asking questions about PvP in /ooc if you get a helpful response or a "get fucked you stupid piece of worthless human garbage shit can asshole," which is always kind of a fun roll of the dice.

8am est to like 4pm est is best for me.

Been bed ridden tho. Passing out a lot. Really dizzy. Confused lots.

It's nice to know red is there tho.

And yeah Flowers best guild glad to hear they still have activity on red!
