You calculated the 45 damage from the proc into the total swing, which is why I said it doesn't work like that. The weapon swing and the proc damage are calculated separately as 2 different hits.

Ok got an update...just dinged 28 but at level 27 I was now meleeing for 150 damage and procing for 39 with vampiric embrace. Basically what I did was get a hold of a few high STR items such as the Gauntlets of Potence, TBB, and Helm of Rile (39 total STR just off these three items alone). My iksar necro has 142 unbuffed STR now. Here's a ss:

There is no damage cap after 20.

Too clarify, your damage is capped at levels 1-9 at 20, and 10-19 at 40. So if you were swinging a 25 or 50 damage weapon under level 20 they would both hit for 40 (or 20 if you are under level 10). That is a hard damage cap.

After 20, your damage only increases past 2x(Weapon Damage) due to the addition of a damage bonus that starts around 28 and is based on your level, weapon skill, and strength.

Do you run a parser at all? I'm curious what your DPS is just playing like a normal necro vs. efficiently using the RoA

Na haven't really done anything like that. I will tell you that I can easily kill tons of level 25 mobs before even having to sit to rest/med...sometimes I will bind wound up to 50% while pet beats on the mob. As long as I'm at 50% hps I can pretty much endlessly kill at this level (level 28).
