here’s me with a spirit tome

I added a new category with these three items:

[[Category:Fashion: Open Book]]

As for the Words, it sounds like if I already have the Shrunken Goblin Skull Earring there's no real benefit to them (except that I guess I could swap in another earring)?

My necro is 36 but I plan on picking this book up eventually just for those times I don't need a full lich. That thing can be scary fast and you can't really afk with it, but you can with allure of death.

Of course, since my necro dinged 35 I've created and levelled a druid to 49, a bard to 31 and an enchanter to 15 so we'll see how long it takes!

Ah, I think this is what I'm missing. So in short, even after I can cast Call of Bones or higher Lich spells, I'll still be casting Allure whenever I want to AFK back to full mana? And if so, I can save a spell gem (and a tiny bit of mana) by giving up an inventory slot? And I can get a better earring than the Shrunken Goblin one since it can be my GCD clicky?

Sounds a lot more attractive.

The TOFS version Frost Covered Tome (of Battle) is also an open book look.

I like to whip it out with a Fool's Gold Stein full of Lendel's when I go afk.

Also, as someone with a level 30 Necro, is it even worth taking the time to get that item? Because I imagine that in four levels when I get Call of Bone I'll never want to cast Allure anymore ... or will I?

It's an instant cast click that resets cooldown, and its one of the only items in the game that allows you to spam click it to create that amazing completely opaque green sphere when your 39+ to obscure your whole body and annoy people :D

I added [[Category:Fashion: Open Book]] to the bottom of that item.

About Words of Darkness... It's clickable from inventory (by Necros) and instant cast. No target required either. A good gcd reset item imo.
If already using another form of lich it won't do anything I assume. Which is fine for its purpose.
I have the items but haven't turned it in yet to get the words of Darkness. So maybe there's some error on my part.

This is all absolutely correct. Its a must have, basic item for all necros. Perfect slot 1 reset item for necros
