Normal Guild, "hey let's hold an open raid and everyone can roll on the loot."

Seal Team, "hey let's hold an open raid but only we get to keep the good loot, let's restrict these items from everyone rolling on them, but they can roll on these other items."

It's like some people are blind...don't you realize how much this sets people off? If you do an open raid, really do one - don't put restrictions on it. You are better off not even doing an open raid.

Word, but that's not the point. The point is they are restricting people who are there helping them kill the boss but saying hey you don't get a chance at these items...that's pure greed. Greed I say greed!

This criticism is crazy to me. You're getting a chance on loot you probably wouldn't normally get for a long time from a guild hosting an open raid (which is more of a liability than a help, usually) and you're complaint is that it's not enough?

I come from the live progression servers, where the default mentality of the top guild is always "Get better n00b!," so I see this more of an ingratiating gesture rather than Seal Team trying to screw everyone. I hope that's not me being naive, but the fact is they don't have to invite anyone.
