Hand in note to your GM when you start a new char, get manastone. Problem solved.

I’m a fan of this, if just to see all the newbies stone themselves to death.

Protip, you don't need a manastone if you don't use mana to beat asses.

Just don't merge Green to Blue. Legacy items are supposed to never drop again.

If they cyclically drop instead, they are no longer legacy.

Removing the whole idea of legacy items from P99 is IMO very wrong and goes against the whole vision (tm) of having a museum-quality up-to-Velious EQ clone.

Just merge new Green servers to the current Green.

Isn't this just merging blue and green with extra steps?

Wouldn't merging new green servers to current green have the same issue? You'd take a newer server where legacy items only stopped dropping more recently with an older server. Same thing.

Not quite, he's suggesting that Blue should remain permanently separate from the recycle servers. I think the idea is that it lowers the motivation of some of the folks camping manastone due to seeing virtual dollar signs in their heads. It's not a bad idea, but I suspect he's under-estimating the power of the pixel sickness.

But Green 2.0 merging into Green 1.0 in 6 years will have the same problem that green 1.0 has merging into Blue... new legacy items introduced into a locked server. You're only kicking the can down the road, so to speak and seems a lot more like a "fuck blue" comment then actually solving the supposed problem which is only solved by having no merges ever, including no teal/green merge because of the extra manastones that will exist after that.

Its quite useful on a warrior maintaining 40% zerker status. I remember seeing a warrior get 229 crippling blow xping at 35.

Not really.

Green 1.0 will have a shitload of stones, guises and such items farmed. Thousands of people are trying to get one as we speak. Green 2.0 will bring more, but that won't count as 1.0 will have so many already.

Blue, on the other hand, has few stones and even fewer active guises remaining.

It's a world of difference.

So you're afraid that the value of the manastone will go too high if it merges with blue? Or are you afraid that green merging with blue will upset the ..uh...healthy economy of blue?

Teal and green merging is gonna have a far greater "anti classic" effect than blue and green merging, and servers being locked at pre luclin isn't gonna be classic anyway, separating rot servers is just gonna kill them faster, merge rot servers or eliminate them altogether. Pick one.
