I'd buy a fungi 2 months ago.

Fungi tunic+ shaman. The tunic will help you get through the doldrums of 1-34. Grab a poison wind censer too, for the same reason. On the plus side they both make excellent twink gear for a variety of classes.

Edit: ya it looks like fungi tunic has gone up. Maybe instead a rogue if you want to group a lot or an enchanter if you want to roll another caster . Might feel bit too much like the necro without safety nets in certain level ranges though.

I'd throw it at a chunk of rural land that has some elevation change, some type of water, prefer a stream and a pond. To inevitable build a home on and move, but I would like to get the land ready to live on and get the land scoped out.

But what if someone comes up to you and tells you its manifest destiny that the land belongs to them?

At least according to the wiki and p99market, fungi's are going for 55 - 60k. I couldn't get one at my budget. When did they start going up so high? I don't remember them being that expensive when I first joined the server a couple years ago.

Looking over some guides and posts between ranger and sk, both seem really fun. Ranger seems to have a bit more flexibility though, which I really like. If I were to choose one of them, should I dump everything I've got into it? Would I notice that big of a difference if I cut off maybe 10k for another alt?

They changed something in Seb that makes the camp harder supposedly, but even with that, there are sooooo many of these things on the server, you could probably find someone willing to sell you one that's in your budget.

I'd certainly go with the SK and I'd say to the contrary that SKs are more versatile, with more varied roles/functions, both soloing and grouping. i'd personally focus on getting items that you can pass off to a good assortment of other classes, in case you get burnt out on it and wnat to play something else, then you have a bunch of gear ready to go.

Fungi was 80k to 40k and now 55k, best bet to get one cheap is farm and buy off winner ,
Don't get me wrong ,45k is a lot of money but it only 1 high end item , you should think something around 20k piece that having fungi and banded on your shaman idk , maybe ikky tunic + decent stuff shrug

You really think so? I don't mean this in an argumentative way, I'm genuinely curious. With rangers being part druid with all their little tricks, it had always been my understanding that their flexibility was kind of both their blessing and curse. I thought Sk's were a little more straightforward. But I've never played either in this era, so I've only got a cursory level understanding of what they can do.

Either way, I definitely plan to get the RBG that was suggested earlier. Seems like it holds its value pretty well, and would be super useful for any other melee I might roll.
