I was on UO for a while. After constant nerfs and I gave up on it. Then Everquest came around...

Played Ultima Online for years. When EQ came out I basically switched over immediately but I had a lot invested in UO so I kept up with things.
Great Lakes shard. Was in a few different guilds. ICE, KoS, Revere, SiN. I had a tower north of Vesper. I rolled with Lancelot, Ghandi, Sancho Panza, Reverend Jeff |

I played on the oceanic server. Nothing like getting ganked 3 times in three locations using steadly crapper gear. To finally get ganked at moonglow graveyard trying to put together some bone armor. Good times

Played Pacific shard for years. So many scams, so many murders, such good times

I read about UO as a young RPG lover. Didn’t have a PC but longed for a game like that. Got a PC Feb 1999. Rest is history.

CORP POR. The last words I would see before some murderer got me. Yeah I died a lot. |
Only game to beat my EQ nostalgia would be my UO nostalgia.
The carebears and expansions killed UO, but in the beginning it was amazing. That skill system instead of levels was fantastic and the full loot pvp was great. I loved the idea of the player supplied economy and having multiple armor sets in your bank ready go. vendor buy bank guards |
