I like Tycho and Shpongle. Just got all their stuff.
I missed an Emancipator show last night though so I'm bummed. |
Seems similar to an artist I listen to call Gold Panda, pretty good.

To say they don't write their own stuff is just silly.
Sure they don't write the specific parts, but they put together the parts in a magnificent way to create a fantastic final product that would not exist otherwise... like any good composer. edit: I guess they also manipulate the specific parts to have each part become their own as well if you wanna look at it like that. |

haha I love it metal too, but thats about where we stop agreeing with eachother. Define an instrument, something you use to make sounds with to make music? Computer fits that to me! And electronic artists still have to write their own music too, its not like you just push a couple of buttons and blamo you have a #1 song. It's really hard, you should try it sometime before ya knock it! |

The people who say that "real music" write their own music and implying that Will does not obviously have not looked into his style much.
There is a "how to" video he does that explains that in a single track (plea) he has over 10 guitar tracks that he created himself. All the snares, melodies, highs, lows, etc are all recorded by him. Being able to create all your samples is more talented than buying vinyl records or sampling others work. |
