The truth is,

I am not sure if they will implement the Fear/Hate only iksar class armors at launch. Later though iksars get they're own armor tailored to them. I believe at lvl 50 the extra ac a iksar gets is 40 or so

What is the racial smithed stuff like?

So iksar SKs and wars can wear plate in velious? I was thinking of starting an iksar SK, but not being able to wear plate kinda sucks :(

lol, go horatio! but..... you know..... darkforge has plate graphic on character, but not the pic of the item itself..... perhaps that could be considered to be chain by the p99 devs and add in a lil ikky love to it? lol

and yes... i know it isn't classic, but.... none of us are staring at spell books to med either, now are we

why would they let darkforge work when there is dreadscale?

The quests were buggy and didn't work at launch. Not sure how it will play out here.
