This. Haste and weapons are all you need. SoS is best ratio weapon you can get your hands on, though sub-10 it sucks and sub-20 it is basically just a knuckle duster. Thereafter it cannot be beat. A 2h will of course land you less riposte and DS dmg if you are soloing or in a terrible group.

DWing only really comes into its own and start beating out 2handers in late lvl50s-60 as explained in this:

Yeah, just use a Peacebringer (or better) until you get epic. Then switch to Fist/SoS.

this is all you will need in reality. fill your other slots with useful stats as you get more money and levels but if you wanted to you could level to 50 on whatever 2 hander you find to buy (peacebringer, ifs, i even took my wqs on my first monk to 56 when someone gave me an ifs for free because they felt bad) then switch to sos/fist on blue sos is cheap as fk because therea re 10 million of them.

tl:dr weapon, haste, switch to sos at 50ish or when you get your epic, dont worry about other slots

Well I'd buy some 55 hp rings at least. Best stats/plat item in the game probably.

Got an adamantite band,will replace with 2xhp rings.Need some magic boots and peacebringer then guess i will be set.
I didnt mention it but i will be soloing a smuch as possible ,no idea how far i can g w/out fungi. Time will tell!

No, it actually doesn't speak to lower level dw because it doesn't provide ratios for offhand below 60. Dual SoS is superior to PB at level 29.

Works like this:



At L29

DW chance = (29+(7+7*29))/405 = 239/405=.590123

SoS primary hand dps = (17*2+1)/(28/10)=12.5
SoS off hand dps = ((17*2)/(28/10))*.590123=7.1658
Dual SoS dps = 19.66

PB dps = (28*2+2)/(30/10)=19.33

TStaff is better until 31

As a guideline they are useful, but I wouldn't put too much trust in such formulas, especially when they produce similar figures for different weapons.

The formulas don't consider the relative value of damage bonus to weapon ratio, which varies depending on the combatants atk vs avoidance/ac scores.

When you have two options and the 'dps' figures are close, it is probably better to make a choice based on other factors, such as attainability, push, riposte damage (both for and against), etc.

The data compiled in the link I sent is from actual players, testing these weapons out, i.e. empirical data. This formula might very well be wrong(or be incomplete).

Actually it's just calculations and the author lists the formula he used on theright side of the page:

DPS = (weapon damage x 2 + Damage Bonus)/(Weapon Delay)
Damage Bonus = (Character Level - 28)/3

The numbers on his sheet though are not damage [b]per second[/] though. They are damage per deci-second. Weapon delay is displayed as 10ths of a second, so to arrive at a DPS number you must either divide the delay by 10 or multiply tue result by 10. Of course for comparing one weapon vs another this doesn't matter, it's just wrong. In any case this is why the number I posted for L29 is 10x the number listed for L30 on his sheet ^^

The only case you can make for the PB post L29 is weapon swapping for free offhand attacks. If you wanna do that, more power to ya, you will maximize DPS. If you just play normally and do t enjoy clickfest then dual SoS beats out PB for fromn L29.
