Confirming this for Iksar. Skele illusion gets you amiable in Freeport tunnels. Can use pretty much everything down there. It does NOT work in Third Gate in the lodge of the dead. Everything in there wants to kill you, and vendors are still at the dubious/won't sell faction cap.

That's messed up considering you can skellie illusion into the CLERIC guild area to buy coffins!

I don't suppose the wine quest helps?

I did the wine quest a ton, or at least until I didn't have to invis my way to the bank. Unfortunately, nothing really gives faction for The Dead. I'm not sure what modifier causes clerics to not care, but the necros to hate, but that's how it seems to work :/.

I'd say it was deity, but Clerics are Inny as well. I'd say it was class but shouldn't that mean necros are easier to use the illusion on?

Also unfortunate that we'll never see the caster camps in Nek, the only ones to ever give decent volumes of The Dead faction.

Hello friend. You can use the necromancer spell vendors in the freeport tunnels if you do the bone chip quest.

Just turn in 4 bone chips unstacked to her and you'll finish a quest that will raise your faction to apprehensive as an iksar necromancer. I did this without any problems a couple months ago on my iksar necro. Once completed you can buy your spells and you can train your skills.

Then, use your gather shadows spells and go into the freeport bank. Stand right beside the wall just inside the entrance and position your camera so that you can see the banker even though the wall is between the 2 of you. You can effectively bank this way and gate outta there when done to save time.

Once you've got both of those down, you can do everything you need to do in freeport.

You can also visit the qeynos necro guild underground as well. No quest needed. There is even a banker in their guild and you can train and buy spells there too.

That's right. You reminded me that there is one npc that will attack you. I believe it's one of shadowknight guild leaders. He's in a back room behind a closed door. You don't have any reason to go back there unless you're just curious.

make level 1 necro. transfer gems to lvl 1 necro. buy spells. profit.
