For this to change. The general nature of the environment and culture of the earth and human race needs to be changed. This. Is not going to happen. Ever. In our life times.

I'm not saying it's wrong to think like you do. But how Jesus do you want to get on people?

Individually you are right. It is only when individuals unite in a common cause that changes take place. We are a society after all...

The largest threat to our republic is money in politics. Since around 1976/1978, when corporations were established as living entities and were allowed to spend money in non-candidate elections (i.e. ballot initiatives and referendums), politicians have consistently voted in line with corporations and against the will of the people. Until people unite to end it this will go on and on.

Dont get caught up in partisan politics. I believe this country is far too polarized politically. Democrat this, republicans that. Blah, blah, blah...it is a game of divide and conquer. Both parties fight to uphold the steady stream of money into their pockets.

TLDR version: Quit being apathetic. Realize the common goal that all of us share and work to inform others of it. Raise the public conscience and things will change rather quickly.

The real point of politics is to obfuscate the reality of its citizens having no real choice in the matter of the ruler ship over them. Drawing hard party lines keeps people distracted as to the reality that all politicians, at least once they reach a certain status, are all working for the same agenda when it comes down to it. They all have the same basic policies, they just word them differently. They all make the same empty promises that will either never be fulfilled, or will fall drastically short of their intent. The real goal is to keep people just informed enough to feel justified in their political stance, while keeping them uninformed as to the actual goings on of politicians and their motives. Its all a mind game that the every day man will continue to lose. Its the way its always been. Nothing will change it for the better.

[sarcasm]You are completely right. None of these movements produced any change. We hold the same exact rights we had during the dark ages. Nothing has changed and there is nothing anyone can do about a few bullies with a lot of money and power even though we outnumber them 99-1. Nothing will ever change. Woe is me.[/sarcasm]

Apathy will get you no where and your attitude is almost as harmful as the greed that fuels the current paradigm.

How high should ones IQ be to participate? Is mindless trolling your way to show just how smart you are or are you just another apathetic voice that wants company?

I didn't say I was anti government. I just said that politics is a sham and that won't ever change.

I never implied you were anti-government but you are blind if you cannot see politics over the ages have changed dramatically. The internet arguably will have a broader affect than the printing press and agriculture combined. Name a period in time that the masses could organize and communicate instantaneously across the globe. Name a time in history prior to 1994 when the news you received could be disseminated by anyone and everyone not just the filthy rich and those that owned printing presses and television stations.
