I know what you mean. I've been involved in the EQEmu scene on and off since 2002 (http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/member.php?u=6999) but for some reason I keep coming back. P1999 is a fantastic server by great people, and I'd love for it to keep going after Velious in some way or another.

Honestly, if the server stopped at velious and started over, I would start over as well. If they had loops of servers running that stopped after the 1 year marker of velious and restarted as classic I would play.

They could easily I would think transfer those people who want to continue progressing to a new Luclin/PoP etc., server, with limited "support", i.e., without the same commitment to classic etc., since I don't believe the devs care about that content. I hope they consider this as there's many of us who would enjoy PoP especially, which arguably had some of the best raid content ever. I think people will be underwhelmed with Velious due to the incredible mudflation on p99 from a 3 year kunark.

IMO:

Add casino with custom prize list for a platinum sink (guise as one of the major prizes, Ton po or something as another, intermediate prizes like prismatic dyes and 10 charge port pots)

Add PoP zones in a custom manner (No PoK, no PoT, some kind of custom lore and custom mechanism to access them)

Maybe add basic AAs, nothing too powerful (if its even possible, believe rogean said itd be too much work to try to get them back in)
