I was implying that every individual is responsible for themselves and that the world would be such a better place to live if everyone took care of themselves and their own shit using that example.

Do you think it is anyone elses responsibilty to keep track of your belongings? If you are careless and lose something of value to you which is subsequently found by someone else, in my opinion, that's your loss.

I don't understand how some people can disagree with this without admitting.that they are unable to take care of themselves and require a babysitter to hold their hand through life.

Man I tell you what, you guys should be grateful you were born in developed nations instead of places where you would have to fight for a living, food, a place to live, because with that kind of attitude you would starve to death before your neighbor would offer you a bread crumb. If you had any sense of responsibility or pride you would agree that every person is responsible for their own life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. If you don't care enough to take care of your own life and belongings, you don't deserve either.

So finding a random iPhone these days is considered stolen? Even in the shitter in an airport for example? I wasn't with him, but I know him very well and when he says he found a random phone I believe him. As for returning it, well, I wouldn't have taken it if he said he had stolen it. If it is marked as stolen then I am sure the owner would receive a new phone. In that case, I would just sell it for parts I suppose, that is if I don't just give it back to him. Not like I paid anything for it.
