Also, what expansions do you guys want it locked up til?
|
Will play for sure.
The most fun server i ever played like this was from 2007. It was Freeport vs. Qeynos. There was only a total like 10 zones, all the qeynos and freeport zones and then the path from the 2 cities was bottlenecked into EC>WC>KITH>HHP>HHK>BB>QH HHK had a raid mob (a group could do it) and that was where the best gear dropped and most of the PVP. the guards in the zones and other NPCs could drop sick loot from all the way up to Luclin too. Pvp was so much fun and there was a point system in place too with a leaderboard. I dont know if you could recreate this but it was a really great server. |
leave it classic if temporary so small pop can find each other
idk what to do about items, as long as they aint usable who cares |

I like the zone bottlenecking idea so everyone can find each other quick. I'm still undecided on other server details (like should we have permadeath mortalquest style or not). I am up for anything and really have no opinion on the matter so if anyone can suggest a quick server concept i can get the ball rolling

Also the qeynos vs freeport idea sounds pretty fun but how was leveling to 60 handled if you can only use those zones?
|
so you can kill in HHK and then the enemy teams city to get xp up to 60. the best gear was in HHK if i recall right and the best XP was in the enemy city.
The whole design was to encourage pvp. You either had to level in a zone that was FFA or your enemies home base. |
T99 coming out dec 1.

After smoking some marijuana, I've come up with:
Everyone is in a hub zone where you can buy things, use the bank, etc., new matches start every couple of minutes. Everyone is ported to plane of fear (mobs are present but do not aggro) for a last man standing match (maybe 3 lives each or something). Each kill gets you some pp to use toward items in hub zone. I will start working on it now. I'm not sure when exactly it will be up. |
