Still melees own the server but every change is about casters.

if you look at the pvp leaderboard, 4 out of the top 20 are melees so not sure what you are basing that on. 9 out of the top 20 are wizards.

Most of the changes do address casters that why I asked for jboots CD refresh which was classic because if you changed all those other things casters would suck hardcore without it.

I really think there are 3 separate issues which need to be addressed to really get this server bringing people in again.

Issue #1 - Resists are still out of whack, we know this and it is not a simple fix.
Issue #2 - Clickies, there are far too many easy to acquire clickies which cause far to many issues. Golem wands, conflag wands, mage wands, soul fires, trak teeth and many more I cannot think of right now.
Issue #3 - There are not many leveling groups because there are no safe areas. We need to assign an area as a safe area so people who are rolling in new have some place they can go experience and not get ganked.

I still don't understand why people think Red should or would have a large population. In live only 5% of the players in EQ played red servers. So the fact that red gets 10-18% of blues population on any given night is actually doing better then it should be.

However I still think with the right changes red could add 200 more people playing a night pretty easily.

Great list. This has been going on since root nets in perma when roots would land for like 30% of the time since most people had around 110 MR unbuffed/shit MR coding - They just don't get it.

LOL Elderan same old lines. Maybe because of the early population, and all the people/crews that have quit - something you have no context of.

Insta plugging and shit, they wanted to put in code to remove zone pluggers when people would just IP exemption log out all day.

There's been gimmicky buggy shti since day #1 - completely frustrating aspect of the box PVP wise and why a lot of people have dropped off over the time IMO.

30vs30 fights are over in 5 minutes, everyone drops instantly. Garbage.

You want to make changes to bring back the OLD players.
I want to make changes to bring in NEW players.

Trying to appease old players to bring them back is fools gold. Most of these players at this point would never play long term no matter the changes. The players you are referring to have been going from pvp box to box for years and they are not the type of people who will hold onto one thing for a long time. Also at most you would bring in a very small amount of old players, 30-50 in my estimation and most wont last long. Adding something like variance would very well cause the sever to lose 20-30 people also. So your net changes are minimal.

Making changes to bring in NEW players is clearly the way to go. Group exp bonus, removal or hybird exp penalty, safe zones could easily add 100+ new players a night. Doing something radical like releasing Velious on RED 1-2 months before blue would be a HUGE boost in the population. Yes you would not keep all of the players once blue got Velious but you might keep 20% or so which would be worth it.

Variance is dumb and has been proven dumb on every server in the history of eq. Not sure why were talkin about it on a 60 person server where no one else can even kill the mobs uncontested as if somehow 400 people are on the fence waiting for variance to join.

Also ff14 really good.

There are tons of players that come from oldschool pvp server's that would love to play here, people from guilds like Hate, Tow, Ascending Dawn, Black Crown, Ruin etc
But these players here about the UNIQUE non classic coding and say fuck that noise.

Sorry but I'm not trying to get blue's to transfer over lol I'm trying to get new player's to red.

To be honest Blue player's on red does nothing for the wiki traffic, but new players
is more clicks. Your not asking for new player's your asking for blue player's.

I could fill server up to 500 easy as fuck by just posting on guild forums about this server, but since the environment and coding resembles nothing like RZ,VZ,TZ, or SZ. There not gonna stay.

Your guild using trak's teeth to grief everyone off lvl 50+ content also doesn't help.
