History to them is what was on TV in the 90's when they were pre-teens. Every war since WW2 has been an illegitimate war. Bush put us in 2 wars to make up for the losses the defense industry had in the 90's When Clinton refused to have a War.

Nah, I'm pretty sure you focus on the current "atrocities" because they are culturally relevant right now and you don't know shit about history. Clinton participated in an intervention in Kosovo and the USA, via NATO, footed the bill for a lot of UN activities during this period, and his cuts to defense were proportionately pretty paltry.

And anyway, I'm not sure what makes World War 2 so much more legitimate. We just got tangled up in Imperial Belligerence Round II. Yep, Nazis were exterminating people but we didn't really know or care, and it certainly wasn't the motivation for our alignment with Britain, lend lease, or our participation in the Undeclared War in the Atlantic, all of which motivated and preceded Japan's attack.

Solely in terms of foreign policy, Great Britain wasn't some innocent victim either; you need to keep in mind that at this point in time they were still one of the world's premier powers, and they had a network of alliances, guarantees, and espionage designed to prevent any other nation from attempting to make the breakout that Germany did.

I didn't make any allusion to the motives of mercenaries; I simply stated the fact of the matter.

We haven't been in a war since WW2.

America seems to think it can produce fast food democracy. I think it has been proven what a failure such a policy is. It has turned the US into a supporter of fascism and against the very notion of a free and democratic society when we use the CIA and war to place obedient dogs as the leadership in those lands. They are there to do our bidding and to ignore the will of the people in those lands.

Might does not make right.

Most American Wars have been a waste of human life. So many in Korea, Nam and the middle east have died for absolutely nothing. They are not Heroes. Most of them are victims.

As the US roams the planet spreading its corrupt democracy at the end of a gun, the simpletons who latch on to faith and nationalism fail to see how the Government has slowly turned these tools against the people of the United States. In the future, as more cops end up dead, I am sure we will see the military on the streets of the US as they have in Mexico. The blind flag wavers are leading the charge to fascism in this Country and the future will see them in the same light as the German people who followed Hitler. Stupid Blind imbeciles driven by bigotry and nationalism.

All wars are a waste of life. Unfortunately mankind hasn't figured that out yet so it's kinda unavoidable.

SamwiseRed 05-27-2013 03:36 PM

Btw if anyone us to blame for the Iraq war it's the American people for not stopping it.

JonathanHancock 05-27-2013 07:15 PM

It's all fucked anyways.

North Korea is EVENTUALLY gonna do something fuckin insane; and I mean insane by THEIR standards. Check out the VICE guide video of North Korea labor camps in Siberia.

Really interesting . Entire North Korean villages are built out there to maintain their propaganda and shit.

If you answer yes, explain how it was worth their life.

If no, I hope you do what you can to never have our country fight another pointless war.

Soon we will be leaving Afghanistan and we have already seen what a horrible criminal enterprise Iraq was. Afghanistan will also end in failure.

This is not a time to mourn but a time to end the insanity that is the conservative warmongering agenda. We must protect our future by bringing the War criminals who brought shame to this country to justice.

We have already mourned and we remember those led to death by the greed of the corporate whores in the Bush administration. It is time to bring justice upon them and to make it so War and faux-Patriotism is never used to cover up incompetence ever again.

I do not salute the lambs who were duped into fighting an illegal war, instead I fight to save the lambs of the future.

Let's not be naive and believe Iraq is an isolated incident.

Every war starting with World War I, America had no business being involved in. Constitutionally, America has no business in anything international on that front, and only has allegiance to itself.

Secondly, you can't put this on Bush - it could have been any president whom woke up that morning and came to the same conclusion about what to do next.

Obama wasn't exactly pulling troops out when he promised to do so.
