after patching I am hitting play from the EQemulauncher then this error.
"eqgame.exe has stopped working" options to close the program or look for solution and close. When I try launching directly from the eqgame 1999 from Duxa's installer it gives me the application unable to start (oxc0000096) error. |
Well, I lied, but it didn't do me any good. Fresh install of titanium, fresh patch, same result. Not to mention I'm getting a patch error message now, saying access to such and such ui file is denied.
Screw it, I might try again tomorrow and hopefully have time to play before I get called in to work. |
Sigh, im getting the same error, the delete wsock and eqgame one. wsock has been successfully deleted, but eqgame just comes back when i delete it, and the log says that /eqgame.dll is already patched, not deleting... just lost my spot in a seb group cause of this, anyone have a solution?

I'm pretty sure the -200 resist check for lifetaps is correct. They're not meant to be unresistable, just almost. With -200, you'll never get resists except against mobs that are virtually immune to magic anyway. It'll have absolutely no influence on 99.9% of gameplay.
|
Also, the game won't launch for me. I skimmed some pages and it's obvious that others are having the same problem, but is there a solution on any particular page? I'm not reading every post of a 17-page thread to track it down. Could we maybe get a post with the solution in server chat?
|
I doubt anyone else wants to read a 17-page thead either.
Try making a thread in the Tech support section (which this clearly is) that way people dont have to wade through all the bullshit here. |
There's a thread in tech support, but the things that worked for some aren't working for others, and it doesn't even look like the problem is universally caused by the same thing.

The wsock32.dll and eqgame.dll files simply aren't there on my end. They aren't in the EQChanges V14 zip either.

To everyone having problems deleting wsock32 and eqgame:
If you had everquest installed in C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest don't forget that windows Vista and windows 7 has virtualstore and will put a copy of those files there. Check C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Progr am Files\Sony\EverQuest Don't forget to show hidden files and folders when looking for the virtualstore |
