"Racism is bad" is a sentiment that has been taught in american public school for literally decades.

It's almost as if people's objection to this is that it IS racist. Outright toward white people, but also condescendingly racist toward black people, who it asserts somehow can't be expected to perform in a meritocracy at the same level as other groups. It invites people of color in america to blame their lot in life on others. That is just a recipe for maintaining the status quo, dressed up as some kind of noble progressive mission for good.
