this is something that blows my mind too
i would go on tiktok in like 2020 and see officers and NCOs posting on tiktok despite their chain of command ordering them not to
they said they didnt care because its they rights
in 2007 our E-1s fresh out of basic were hella more disciplined and understood opsec and how serious it would be to go and post something on facebook or myspace that they knew would ultimately get them court martialed
i can just see like a huge difference in the discipline of our troops 20 years ago to today, like E-1s from 2005 were more disciplined than captains and staff sergeants in 2023
