What's so yucky about 2 people getting an upgrade instead of 1? Why is it so hard to think of your guild mates like family, boost each other up and invest in eachother? Seeing someone get an upgrade from an item recently returned is when you really see how good it makes everyone feel. It may not make people rich platwise, but every little boost in morale and stats helps us all. Aren't most guilds like that?

I get your point of help the guild and the guild will help you, but there is a difference between earning loot through raiding and having someone loan you a personal item.
That being said, you don't sell raid loot in Asgard either unless it's something from a non DKP event...so CoF is a bad example cause u can sell this and no one will care. |

The process works great for us, a lot more mains have dragon haste, or solid BP/legs because of the policy. It helps the guild get stronger faster. Stratifying resources across one person's characters doesn't help the guild grow. |

The way its done in Asgard is that if you get an upgrade to a dropable item won via DKP, you should (and this usually happens) give the old item to someone who can use it or to the guild bank.
The difference here is that if somebody leaves Asgard while wearing dropable DKP won loot, it's never, ever, asked to be returned. This thread is riddled with bad examples, so for some reason we are talking about upgrades while still in guild. |
