Some people in my family are pretty dumb. They're uneducated, maybe unhappy, and have pretty terrible jobs.

We often have big family dinners together. It's really a great time. We start off playing Taboo or Life while my mom entertains her grand-kids and puts the finishing touches on dinner. Being in the south, its typically catfish, hush puppies, a side of coleslaw, and corn-off-the-cob. Sometimes we're really lucky and she will throw down on that special "its Thanksgiving in July" meal that consists of turkey, dressing, homemade-cranberry sauce, fried okra, and fresh corn muffins.
After dinner, the kiddos go to the other room and play. The little ones typically fight over the blocks or the dog. Maddy, our old bloodhound is a real joy to be around; sweet as a ripe blueberry off the vine. The little ones can even get away with pulling her tail. Several times we've caught them trying to convince the smallest ones to try to ride her. We discourage it of course; don't want them to hurt the poor thing.
Inevitably, the adults end up sitting around, talking about the news, parenting, or really anything interesting that's on someone's mind. It's normally a great discussion; extremely civil and enjoyable. The only problem with these discussion is that its normally interrupted by one of those dumb people.
They normally come in two shades: the passive aggressive ones that deliver poorly disguised personal attacks, and the ones that are more mouthy and say things like "You're just mad" or "Watch your mouth" or "Shut up".

I don't know if you've ever experienced those dumb people before, but you've just emulated both varieties.

I know you read all of that.
