P.s. "character of people", kind of like how Nizzar sold green scales to Sektor for $150? Oh shit didn't know about that one? Kind of like how it's closed door officer shady loot decisions? Bid DKP is the fairest item system in existence. It's the free market. There's no secrets. You get to decide what an item is worth to you. You want to save up for that Vulak item and go all in to get it first blowing your DKP load? Go for it. You want to go for the medium upgrade approach scooping up some nice upgrades that aren't BiS but good enough? Go for it. You want to be the hoarder who waits to get items but then can scoop up a lot of them? Go for it. It forces you to make decisions about how you want to gear your character and what's important to you. On live, I wanted the headed off The First Creation to create the Shawl 2.0 which was the best item in the game. I saved up an expansion worth of DKP so I could be the first world wide tank in the game with it. I dropped my entire DKP load to get it, while others got many more upgrades than me who decided to go for different approaches. Bid DKP allows you to decide the approach to take.

Looking forward to your prof

Doesn't the Bible say something along the lines of beware of the people (Nihilum loot council) who meet behind closed doors.

See, even the Bible tells you not to join Nihilum.

On a serious not though Red Dawn's loot system is one of the fairest/most transparent loot systems I have ever been in on EQ. I just have always prefered a DKP system to loot council. I dont like having to kiss officers/guildleaders arse to get loot. DKP=You put in the work u get the loot its that simple.

I also love the system as the administrator because I don't have to deal with the tears of all the people when I award an item to someone. But that's kind of the problem with all central planned economies isn't it? Praise capitalism, Praise bid dkp, Praise red dawn.

...This thread was started specifically because of tears brought forth by your system.

Actually, it was a thread started by Smedy with incomplete information, and has zero to do with the loot system. Thanks, I do teach the LSAT on the side, which includes a section on reading comprehension.
