I could not any find post about this, but this non-classic bug has been implemented since Launch (2009). This issue may be un-fixable (like the Kelethin lifts).

On P99, reopening a door requires it to be 100% shut. This is not Classic. On Live, a door could be re-clicked (and re-opened) immediately when it begins to close. On P99, you must wait until the door closes all the way.

For example, a rogue picking the locked Sebilis Crypt door could spam-click the doorjamb to keep it open. A rogue picking the first wooden door in Befallen could spam-click the door, and it would quickly open and close the door (and also get much faster skill-ups). This isn't occurring on P99.

This is occurring with regular doors and also the Kunark "vertical" doors (like the ones in City of Mist).

The entire door system needs to be reworked. I agree.

If you observe the guards in Neriak Commons, they open every door they walk past. Hehe. NPCs opening doors at all is good, they just need to not try to open a door unless they make a collision check against it.

Could be coded as some kind of event on the door where if a non player crosses it, it triggers an open too. Hackery imo but effective and maybe easier to implement it that way.

Re: OP

This is a limitation of the titanium client. It simply doesn't send us any packets if you're clicking a door that's actively opening/closing.

I just logged onto PEQ with the titanium client and the doors act the same as ours. If they're actively opening/closing, they don't respond to mouse clicks.

Lifts are different on other eqemu servers though. It's not a complaint but I'm also kind of curious what makes our lifts less responsive.

What about spamming the Use Key (U)?
