So, there are a few "mandatory" zips that you have to put into your Everquest folder. I am having one problem with this. I want to abide by all the rules the server sets, except, why can't I keep all the modern Gem/Spell book icons? Why can't I update everything else, and be classic that way, but actually be able to see the GOOD icons?

Now, I played back when there were some bad icons, but why do I have to purposely make the icons look bad, where Root and DS have the same icon (which is horridly bad).

Is there a way for me to install the updated "levels" of spells, and everything else, without ruining the icons? I've tried everything I can think of.

Any help and or confirmation that you can't do anything would be nice.

It is innate to the spell file. It controls the graphics that appear on the spell gems & they've all been modified. You can use the newer graphics, but your icons on the spells will be wrong.

I keep an up-to-date spells_us.txt that uses the newer gem/spell icons. It's available at http://www.wrathfulinquisition.com/viewtopic.php?t=9800 along with my custom UI.

I update it whenever there's a p1999 patch that changes the spell file.

This is absolutely fantastic. Thanks so much.
