Help - Boot to login at character load

[cukazi]

When I select my character it sits at the character screen for about 1 min then goes directly to login. This is a frequent problem and happens on load up or randomly if i crash while zoning.

My machine specs.
Win 7 - 64
Intel core i5-2500k @ 3.30GHz
nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti
P8z68-V Pro MB
8gig ram

Internet is Wild Blue from ViaSat (i know satellite sucks its the only available)

I have tried everything listed
-reinstall
-winEQ
-checked the EQhost is correct
-ran everything in administrator and compatability for win xp SP2
-updated every driver on my machine
-Firewall disabled

A little more information.
Created a few new characters and loading into the game seems to work fine I was even able to zone one into LoIO (it crashed while zoning but one more load from the character select screen worked and I got in)
Still can`t get in on my other character.
I'm at a loss here if it is my internet connection thats fine I will need to live with it. But being able to play other toons leads me to think that the problem is not my internt as crappy as satellite is.
Any Tips or advice would be awesome as I would love to play Classic EQ again :D nothing compares to it.

Negative, I got the i5 2500k so i could overclock it but have not got around to doing it.
It seems that its just the one character that I can't load in on. I have been able to get into LoIO multiple times on another toon.

interesting. so you have no trouble logging into other chars and going to ill omen? its just the one?

i dont think this will work, but try it anyway:

reinstall one more time, if you set EQ up using eqemu launcher, use duxa's all in one installer instead (link on this subforum near top), if you used duxas, use emu launcher instead. Also try without wineq.

If neither of those work, download the files manually and place them in the eq folder. you can find the link to the most recent patchfiles in my FAQ.

try that for me and i'll think about this some more in the mean time. If these dont work, try putting a petition in the petition forum. You've done an excellent job setting up your thread, so you can probably just copy+paste the info you have here into your petition post. Be sure to mention that you can get into ill omen on any other char but this one.

If one of the things i suggested, please post here with what worked. Or if the gm's fix this for you, please let us know what they did :D

So I was able to get in this morning before I left for work tried three times this evening on my "stuck" toon and no go.
Is there anyway I can check to see if its my internet dropping me or maybe because of the latency of satellite the eqemulator servers dropping me.
I will do what you suggested now gotrocks and thanks for your help.

Tried with duxa's installer no go trying it manually from your FAQ patchfiles

Manually installing everything I got in but I don't know if its just a fluke and would like to play for a bit incase :P so I will log in an hour or two and try relogging a few times to see if its fixed.
I still think its Wildblue exede internet I hate satellite

its possible its the internet, but since its characte specific i doubt it.

If you keep having issues, definitely try putting up a petition in the petition forum to see if gm's have some insight, may be a messed up character (or something)

Update on this issue
today when I got home from work I tried logging in on my main character in LoIO 3 times it went strait to account login
So I tried the lvl 1 I have parked in LoIO I was able to log in so I camped out and tried the main character again and again it booted me to account login.
two more times I tried this lvl 1 then main character both times same results.
I am stumped at this point I will keep trying to get in on my main I guess :D
