Hey all,

Pretty new to the server, but I've been around for a month or so now. I gotta say, classic eq is great and the pvp is a blast. Still, leveling is a pain in the ass and it's impossible to find a group.

At the moment I have 2 main characters and I've hit a point of boredom where I just dunno what to do to spice things up or find a group.

My 2 main chars are:
Erebus lvl 20 wizard
Godlin lvl 25 warrior

Anyone around these levels wanna let me know what times they play usually and maybe we can meet up and grind some levels? Any suggestions on where I can solo with those chars? I got the warrior stuck on tox atm and the wizzy is in HH.

Got no cash for gear either, so suggestions on how to farm out some money are much appreciated. I especially gotta figure something out for my warrior. I lost my warrior's best gear (actually a gift from a player named Brennard and a couple of cool items I farmed myself) trying to do a ground transfer without realizing there was a DDoS attack going on. Fucked up my day and tbh I haven't touched him since that lol.

Anyways thanks in advance for any advice, and like I said let me know if you're a lowbie too and want to drink some beers around a flaming pile of undead corpses or something.

first of all let that be a lesson, dont try to ground transfer, EVER...sorry that happened man its a huge risk doing ground transfers tho and its a risk you took -- secondly, I would scratch leveling the warrior anyway and probably not even play the wizard, I would roll a necro or mage. These two classes are not gear dependent and you can level them up pretty fast. Once you get in the higher levels you can farm items for your wizard/warrior if you want to.

Some good leveling spots:

-noob grounds 1-15
-South Karana 15-35+
-Misty Thicket guards 35-40
-Overthere 35-45
-go back to MT and kill Budo 45-54

Just some basic advice.

Thanks for the advice. I don't disagree that the necro or mage would be easier. I actually made a mage and got it to 15 in almost no time, but I hated it lol. Necro would be the same story, I'm just not a pet class kinda guy.

as far as the ground transfer goes... yea its like staying through a lap dance past the first song and having to pay for 2, you only let it happen once. Not going to be trying that again.

That'd be much appreciated, and not taken lightly as I know that's 2 hours out of your day doing nothing to benefit yourself.

lol actually i crashed somehow. My comp has a prob with its graphics card that sometimes it freezes up and i have to push the card back into place to get it to come back on. I'll log on now, been studying all day so I need an eq break. who do i send tell to?

As far as the wizard goes, I couldn't remember much of my time spent leveling 1-25 so i used the leveling guide on the wiki. But the guide past 25 works pretty well also and most of the spots i've actually switched from being for/against etc.

I think around 20 on my wiz i was soloing at the RBF spawn in upper guk till around 24-25.

Starting at around 25ish on your wiz i think the best place is the sisters in oot. Around 29 you can start splitting the 2 spawn in one of the huts (they drop fine steel which sell to the dwarf merchant on that island for about 10pp a pop). As soon as you hit 34 do everything in your power to acquire circle of force, if you still cant find a way to get it contact Tyneestalker in game and I have the runes in my bank and can make you a copy (but i'll charge). Anyhow here is link to said guide:

Thank you for the link. The wizzy at lvl 20 is def uniquely difficult to solo (or it could just be me i guess). up til then it was pretty easy leveling lol. I think I'm going to try and focus on the warrior, I really like jousting as opposed to nuking for pvp. Also, brewing is kinda a big thing for me, which I can do on my warrior :D

Wizzy will be an alt for when I get burnt out lol

Burnout is going to be a huge thing for you on that warrior. Melees like rogues/warriors/monks etc have to be in groups most of the time higher level which means your xp goes up much slower. I leveled my wizzy from 43-53 in a little over a week by quad kiting as opposed to the more than likely 3 weeks of poopsocking it would take most melee not being plvled in that range. But hey if warrior is what you wanna play the server needs all the warriors it can get :)

They are mad that pop is rising its weird and detrimental to server health

Actually a nihilum druid (i think he was nihilum iirc) named northwest gave me a 2hander awhile back (sarnak battlehammer), still using it that thing lol. It's friggin great for jousting.

Actually I powerleveled this guy for like two hours one night.

Godlin is a very cool player. We roleplayed in Crushbone trying to find Emperor Crush and slaying his minions.

Why would you ever play a wiz if you dont want to solo?? Their ability to dps in a group setting is next to none.

I've just been busy with some stuff, and tried out a couple MMOs. So far not great, though I sorta am digging DC Universe PvP.

I'll log on this evening.

druid + wizzy is a great combo as well. You can tandem quad pretty easily :P. Wizzy + enchanter is pretty much enchanter supplies clarity and sits on his ass soaking xp while the wizzy quads.
