you dont need a cd key or anything like that, because you're not playing on one of sonys servers...

you can literally just take someone elses EQ installation folder and copy it onto your computer and be fine.

Also, it doesn't matter where you get it, it can be a torrent, borrowed from a friend, dl'd from a flashdrive, whatever.

Me, personally, i just keep all 4 disc iso's on an external hardrive with a copy of daemon tools so i can load it up on any computer anywhere without having any extra tools.
