Thursday night at 7pmEST i will be hosting Thursday Night Fights in Steamfont Mountains, right outside the city of Ak'anon. I will not be summoning for this event, you are responsible for your own transportation. Some of you that know me from previous servers may remember Thursday Night Fights, and while that will be the basis, i have much more stuff planned, depending on how many people show up for this.

you can expect 1v1s, 2vs2s, 6v6s, last man standing, last team standing, endurance challenges, and possibly more.

there will be prizes throughout the night, as well as a "Title" for the main event (OMFG WHY DID SIRKS PUT TITLE IN QUOTES!?!!?1!?).

triple post because I am a man of 100 ideas (and 100 alts.) How about the winners of the same class battles get titles. THen every fight club to follow, people are allowed to call out last weeks previous winner and title holder and fight them for the title. Basically fight club will establish the alpha males of each class. Obv right now nilly will be favored in gear and levels but that gap is slowly closing.

So a team could have six Trak teeth and just, more or less, buttfuck someone from the get go? Just inquiring, golem wands conflagration wands etc. will make it more interesting.

the reason i dont want SS is because the fighting will be restricted to a certain area in front of ak'anon (old vztz peeps will be familiar with this), and i dont want wizzys/necros able to leave the area thats designated for combat.

One suggestion sir.. be nice if you had another GM w/ it, beggers can't be choosers I guess but one enforcing the rules while you're actively in the fight would keep bogus shit like people out of bounds who have died already having an impact on the outcome. We should stick to 1v1s, 2v2s, 6v6 and other teams. Preferably without selos, but its cool if were fighting within a certain area. The whole bard events with people just running laps was boring.

Good times... GM sanctioned 6v6 was a no contest =/ - kudos to Azrael for even stepping up, but if there was any ever a question as to who the best PvP guild I don't see how a flawless victory 6v6 doesn't end that discussion.

true good times but nilly got school in the 2v2 and the botb rogue (gream vs salem) We put our highest levels out there unfortunately being 2 wiz + mage was a little too much burst dps with selos. all good tho.

in the 6v6 how come noone has their illusion on your team? even the corpses arent illusions. how are you disabling them? one prob was being able to see our team your team cuz the illusions made things wierd. since you didnt have to deal with that seems like you had a slight advantage there.

also how do you have C2 and enlightenment if you guys didnt have a chanter in party?

also you had sow on top slot but no druid or sham or ranger in party. you guys were supposed to be stripped before fight.

Does anyone know what files I could export from a full installation to just get all the different models back in for a EQ Lite installation? Next time I'd like to be able to see the special illusions.

just to confirm, EQ LITE does not have all the files that the regular titanium install has, this includes some of the newer models, which is why some people didn't see them.

as far as the ffa, i did consider moving everyone to arena for final event, however i was tired and felt that would take a bit to long. as far as people that were hiding, they didn't deserve to win as they were not fighting.

but we live and learn. we got this one in the books. and so we can use it to make the next one even better!

OMG PVP IS SO UNFAIR GUYS! Azrael has stooped to an all time low. Crying because our 6v6 has 2 wizards and a Mage? You guys have wizards and mages, so use them. Cry because of illusions... Both teams had the same problem with illusions, what you should be doing is using target macros. We have higher levels and gear, yes but you declare yourselves the pvp champs of the server. If the PvP champs cant win because of gear, not PvP champs imo. Its really sad that after a great event you would immediately go to the forums and bitch about how things are unfair. We all have the same level of access to this game. You want better gear? Go kill shit for it. You want a lvl 60 Wiz? Go kill shit and tell them to log on for the PvP event. We were all notified of this event 24 hours ahead of time. If your guild didn't assemble the right people for a 6v6, that is your own fault. If you haven't realized it by now, LIFE IS NOT FAIR. So if you just continue to cry about how unfair things are, you will never get anywhere. You want change? Assemble a raid force and stop running from mass pvp. Even if you die, atleast you get some respect for actually fighting.

overall, was a fun event...shows how fun the PvP aspect in this game really is...and on an important note, it promotes the server.

good point. i think some people forget why we are on red (yes some people so immersed they dont know whats going on.) altho YT, xp, and other things would be nice, the most important thing is competition and pvp. the event showcased both and i had fun. I was cool seeing nilly fight themselves, its been a long time for some of them since they faced a group of similar gear and leveled peeps.

Well NW is mad because he lost. If this was a game of hiding, NW would have won. But this is PvP so I'm glad he didn't win. I just find it sad that after this event, people are already complaining. Quit whining, play the game and have fun.

one event we could do is have each guild pick one person from each class to represent their guild. this way both teams would have same makeup and all buffs would be legal. would be a big battle and fun to watch/participate in for sure

sorry to the two people that got scarecrow items, i was unaware of a pretty serious issue that is caused by that illusion involving factions, and had to remove them from your inventories. i have however replaced them with something equally as awesome ;)

besides the fact that nilly members were using hacks to see all humans, take away the pell wands and the fight would have went a different way

and 6v6 wasnt organized corerctly, buffs are suppose to come from the group fighting.

as regards to Twainz, he just mad he wasn't picked lol

overall, was a fun event...shows how fun the PvP aspect in this game really is...and on an important note, it promotes the server.

Actually, I did not want to be involved in the 6v6 as Highsun was illegal. Bards don't get the PR stun until 59 and I am only 58. I would rather see my team win then go in just for selos. I was picked before Lite in the Mass PvP tho. Lite Jelly as fuck.

Hat off the nilly on the lant man standing (kinda.) As soon as it started I thought Tune, Batlle, or Nizz would win. After all Nilly were killed they turned on Nizz quick as fuck. dude was dead by the time i got back to the event. Killed by his own, smilin hard as hell.

after event was over a few nilly started hitting people so we cleansed steamfont. diplo and action died in about 2 seconds followed by Nizz. At this point nilly was pouring out of every zonein. I wish i had taken more SS cuz so many were killed.

Thursday night at 7pmEST i will be hosting Thursday Night Fights in Steamfont Mountains, right outside the city of Ak'anon. I will not be summoning for this event, you are responsible for your own transportation. Some of you that know me from previous servers may remember Thursday Night Fights, and while that will be the basis, i have much more stuff planned, depending on how many people show up for this.

you can expect 1v1s, 2vs2s, 6v6s, last man standing, last team standing, endurance challenges, and possibly more.

there will be prizes throughout the night, as well as a "Title" for the main event (OMFG WHY DID SIRKS PUT TITLE IN QUOTES!?!!?1!?).
