thinking of something like starting out lvl 40... fast XP up to 60.. if you die you lose 5 to 10 lvls (you wouldnt be able to go under lvl 40), but it will be easy to grind back. the loss of levels would occur in pve and pvp.. grinding wont be time consuming, but dying will cost you some time...


very small world... custom zone connections.. i will use classic zones to start and expand over time..

lfay will be a main "hub" with lvl 40ish mobs to fight and start out. sf zoneline would be a dungeon.. bb could be another, gfay another, mm can stay mistmoore..

something like that, with classic loot littered in all the dungeons to start.

i wan't pvp to be as classic-like as possible, but the lvling/grinding/pixel farming will be much more casual and fun..

Sounds a lot like QvF. Should be hella fun, I think I ended top dawg on QvF with Fatty before Secrets murdered it, I miss that box.

Nothing is set it stone... just passing around ideas I've thought of.

I want to keep it as simple as possible, so development isn't too long and you guys can have fast, fun pvp.

eq is all about pve with pvp mixed in , anyone who thinks eq pvp is all you need to make a successful server is basically on the intellectual level of ironlion and hammertime

This is what my server would look like if i had one:

- Item(1 no weapon)/ coin loot
- Bars depleted on death
- Small amount of custom nodrop armor sets (something like lvl10-25-40 triple set) to diffuse a bit the harsness of item loot
- Events that draws pvp, like the 2001 halloween event on rallos with custom mobs if its impossible to get access to that halloween content.
- Hotzones to encourage bottlenecking of pop and pvp
