Left and trying to come back

I was playing on the servers before the Kunark expansion was released. Now when I try to load up it goes to all of the way to the character select screen and says "your spell files are outdated" and "ERRORCODE SP-1". It has been a long time since I reinstalled EQ. I know I probably just have to go somewhere and turn Kunark on but I can't remember where to go. Any suggestions?

These days everyone's been suckered into using the EQemu launcher Mithas. Not to everyone's taste, and still avoidable. But for the ease of getting back into the game quickly, you can find it below:-

It'll update your files for you when you select the P1999 server from the list :)

This error means that your files are not patched.

I believe you can manually patch your files by downloading them from the "news and annoucements" portion of the forum where they post the files.

make sure to delete or rename them as they won't over write.


If all else fails, re-install the game DIRECTLY onto your C-drive and use the "all in one" installer found as a stick on this tech forum and you'll be money.

You don't have to reinstall anything. Just goto http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=84589. Download the zip file and extract it in your EQ folder and your done.
