View Full Version : Game Mechanics: Damage shield not triggering whilst runed

Just noticed that whilst having rune on (or any form of dmg absorber) if you have a Dmg shield on it will not trigger. I'm assuming because the mechanic is set to only trigger the dmg shield if dmg is incurred.

Don't remember it being like this on live.

I'm 90% sure thats how it works on live too, but not 100%.
You don't get eg. dodge or defense raises either while runed, because technically the mob is missing you.

Well i know for certain that on live the dmg shield does work because it's the method i used for PLing people (runing self + sitting down with a dmg shield) was able to PL people to 50 in like a few hours there.

Also i remember chain casting rune on myself in solb whilst a light blue mob beat on me for skill ups... saying that, that's how it works on live now, i have no clue what it was like back in classic...
