My friends and I are starting a newbie group. No real items on us.

So far:

Cleric
Druid
Enchanter
Shaman

We have two others joining - what should they make? I know, it's 1 more than a full group, but we won't all be online at the same time...

I was thinking SK / Monk

You could add rogues to this group, sure, but they'd just get 56 in 2 days and be fully resist geared with a 15 damage piercer and VP key.

Gream came to this server knowing very few people and with little help (guy didn't even have a bloodstained mantle until yesterday) and is now level 55, vp keyed, jac rings etc, cloak of flames, vp weapons, in a couple of weeks of playing casually. Meanwhile the defeated mads will keep QQing here, the same mads who can be located in the graveyard.

this is kinda a bad example seeing as how gream had connections from blue and was posting on nihilum forums as soon as he rolled here. this is not possible for actual new players playing a rogue unless they get a group leveling partner. also gream is on everytime i log on so hes kinda poopsocker which isnt your average player outside nilly. aint hatin but dont give new players the wrong idea.

was powerleveled a bit so ya lol...

And im sure he is very proud of his accomplishments!

Get everything handed to you, roll 10 deep in PVP and talk shit when you do nothing except be present when a kill happens.

Clearly Gream is on his way to Box Legend status.

Newbie comes on for advice on how to set up a good group.

Heartbrand suggests playing 24/7, getting a couple level 60's to power level to mid 50's in a couple weeks, and be handed gear.

Good advice.

Actually, my advice was to go, if you read, Paladin (best group tank by far due to snap aggro, stuns/heals/ability to rez later on/PVP), Enchanter (duh), cleric (duh), make your DPS 2x rogue, and then for the last spot gonna want a porter to get around and what not, I'd prolly go with druid over wiz due to the versatility of being able to spot heal.

If you have all those other classes around it should be easy to find someone who wants to play a tank. Shit just find someone in OOC to get on a tank around your level. Gotta be someone bored of soloing light blues with band aids.
