Newschool spell gems work ?

Hello,

can anyone confirm that newschool spell gems work on P1999?

I would be happy to use the new icons like

can anyone explain me how i can get these newschool spell gems work on P1999?
can i use the normal spells_us.txt ??

No they won't work because as of this time p1999 only uses 22 different spell gems, but I'm hoping this changes in the near future... :D If you used those files all of your spellgem icons would be in the wrong places compared to p1999.

You would have to move the icons around to match the current default set we have now - luckily enough you can just take the files out of the beta default UI update zip file found on the 'Velious UI' post I made (download the zip here (http://home.comcast.net/~savok/project99/velious_codefix.zip)) because I already did it earlier!. You only need files gemicons01.tga and spells01.tga to match the current system files in p1999.

I don't see spells01.tga in the zip, only spells04 and spells05. I see gemicons01.tga just fine.

You use the default spellXX.tga files from the default UI, you use the zipped gemicons01.tga for the hot bar and casting window gems.

It's a current p1999 spells file with the gems modified to work with new custom gem files.
