A - FEEL LIKE: Helping them with something

C - give a shit about them

If only the devs here realize that if they nail things down here, they have infinite survival. People WON'T leave for other servers when they've already leveled up and geared all their shit here.

They WILL leave if the server isn't shown attention and isn't made more classic, pretty much regardless of gear obtained and time invested.

I think the lacking is in communication from the developers to the public more than anything.

Not a single serious response to any of the suggestions really makes me wonder if any of those devs didn't have 5 mins just to share their opinions on the feedback or just plain dont givafuck in the months people have given theirs.

in retrospect, you're probably right. i could have worded it differently, and i obviously am not directing my post to everyone on the server. it was directed mostly at the vocal minority that thinks if they complain louder than anyone else it forces the staff to listen to them. it was directed at all the non game playing forum questers that love to blame the staff or the server for their failure at EQ.

that being said, i'm a human being, and just like all other human beings, i'm not perfect and i'm going to make mistakes. and like most other human beings, i have breaking points. the difference between me and most others is that i'm a big enough man to admit when i make a mistake.

as far as updates, you guys should start warming up to my smiling face because odds are i'll be your liaison to the big dogs on staff as far as that goes. Rogean and Nilbog have no desire to sit down once a week and do a Q&A, simply because they are too busy with a combination of RL work, and the long list of things that need work on both of the servers. they make their announcements in the patch notes, or the news/announcements sections, and that's all. and realistically, they shouldnt have to. Blue server has hundreds and hundreds more people than red, and even they dont get the kind of communication that some of the red players are requesting from the staff.

also, the staff here is not of the "lets try it for two weeks mentality". when something goes in, its in, period. thats mostly why everything has taken so long. between RL work, the preexisting list of things to be fixed, and wanting to make sure something is discussed until its beaten to a pulp, its simply not a fast process.

and lastly, i dont make threads asking for opinions, simply so i can ignore peoples opinions. it would be MUCH easier for me to just not read threads and not personally post. i do not drag things on for months because i like to build suspense, if things get dragged on, it's because that's how long it took the staff with all of our different schedules / other obligations. its really not as easy as "just flip the YT switch" (and i dont mean coding wise, i mean deciding if the server should go to a more CoD style in stead of classic EQ). when players try to break my balls because they didnt get what they wanted when they wanted it, it simply drives me crazy. especially when its mostly being done by the same 2-3 trolls that dont play this game.

well im sure you know its staff policy that we dont discuss bans/suspensions with the public. i didnt mention people banned for RMT either :eek: which means theres more new players than i mentioned earlier.

by "get resists working", i assume you mean classic resists. currently resists are the way they are to ensure every class is viable in pvp on a pvp server. although, resists are one of the topics being discussed by staff, but no promises they will change.

as soon as Velious is ready, well Blue server has been waiting 18+ months for Velious, the staff knows how badly both servers want to kill snow bunnies, cause we hear it from them too. it will be released when its ready, but not a day sooner ;)

My feelings:
- "Yellow text" is completely unnecessary
- Allow blue characters to move to red
- Change resists to be more classic. This one isn't a huge deal, but it seems to matter to other people, so do it to get them back
- Might be too late at this point, but hardcoded teams would be nice. The SZ way is best, but combine neutral and good teams into one big good team. This would split up Nihilum and the big raiding guilds that transfer from blue, which is a good thing
- Add item loot, and switch to Firiona Vie no drop rules (nothing is no drop)

alas, sadly i can not yet predict the future, so i can't say for certain that one day maybe blue server will be allowed to transfer or even copy over their toons to red. but i imagine the toons would not come with droppables or coin. because that would royally fuck the red economy.

red server will never get the option to transfer to blue though. mostly because red server xp is set to easy mode, and it would royally piss off the blue players that had to put in serious time to get up to 60.

I retired on loz with 9-0 k:d, this as a caster on a sever where melees at the time had plane of power discs and hit for like 300 damage.

I gave my character to Mornin. I played on loz for about 1.5 weeks. Seeing trak die with like eight people was all I needed to see. The zone crashing was rampant, pve was beyond retarded a la melees hitting like velious mobs, chanters able to chain whirl mobs, non classic spells, weird cast times on spells, raid mobs that lack basic abilities, charm lasting full duration, mob levels completely wrong allowing you to charm basically anything, velious and planes of power items in game. The list could go on for two pages. Devnoob gave epics out to people, that server was dumb.

Frump was never my character, it was Jibekn's, he let me play it, which I did for about 1.5 weeks until I got burnt out from how pointless the server was. I hardly rage quit the server, it was already dead, I was just going through the motions because there was nothing else to play, and some guy I had never played with in EQ before or had ever spoken to, apparently Lasher, called me a faggot when I asked him if he wanted some help for some epic thing he was trying to do. I already had about zero motivation to play at that point and decided playing with people that dumb and immature was just not an effective use of my free time.

People are delusional if they think yellow text is going to make people endure the obscene amount of grind in pve you have to put in to have fun for long stretches of time in pvp. Things will pick up for a week and die down again

And while on the subject of delusional, Rallos was totally a "COD" server. Its red99 thats not classic this way, they would not deviate from classic by making it closer to a server where there is alot of pvp happening, they would be making it more classic.
